You know the song “Bella Ciao”. You know that it means “Hello Beautiful”. Do you know that it’s not a love song, but one of resistance and fight for freedom? On occasion of Itallian Heritage Month, join me at the SF Public Library (North Beach) on October 5th for a short cultural journey into Italian music. I will offer a historical overview of Italian music, featuring a variety of styles and genres, retro and current. Some lyrics with English translation will be provided.
