In celebration of Italian Heritage Month, I am teaching a letter writing workshop meant to explore participants’ relationship to Italy. The workshop is free, and will take place on Saturday, October 12th, from 12:00 to 2:30 pm, at the SF Public Library, North Beach branch. The workshop is sponsored by the SFPL and the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco. See description and details here and below.
Cara Italia – a letter-writing workshop
Are you an Italian expat or of Italian descent? Do you have a strong connection to Italy? Or simply a great travel story? This letter-writing workshop is for you. We will use letter writing as a storytelling tool to explore that personal connection, whether Italy represents a place of origin or of the imagination. Letters can be written in either English or Italian. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their writing at the Italian Cultural Institute on October 24th.
